  • Anti-rabbit IFN-γ polyclonal antibody (catalog KP1308U) is made in chickens, affinity-purified by rabbit IFN-γ affinity chromatography and supplied in PBS containing 0.09% NaN₃; it was raised against recombinant rabbit IFN-γ (immunogen) and the calculated molecular weight of rabbit IFN-γ is ~16.9 kDa. Store at 2-8°C (stable up to 12 months from date of receipt). Recommended working concentrations are Western blot 0.1-2 µg/mL and ELISA 1-5 µg/mL (optimize per assay); typical sandwich ELISA reagent pairings and suggested conditions are provided on the datasheet (capture antibody KP1308U; standard protein RP0136U-005; detection antibody KPB1309U; streptavidin-HRP AR0068-001; TMB substrate AR0133-002). In cross-reactivity testing (ELISA) this antibody shows no reactivity to a wide range of species (bat IFN-γ124 and IFN-γ141, bovine, canine, caprine, chicken, cynomolgus monkey, dolphin, equine, feline, ferret, human, mouse, ovine, swine and zebrafish IFN-γ). It is commonly used for ELISA, ELISpot, flow cytometry, neutralization, and Western blot applications (users should validate and optimize conditions for each application). The product is made in the USA, supplied for research applications only, and is not intended for medicinal, diagnostic, or therapeutic use.

Rabbit Interferon-γ (IFN-γ) is a type II interferon cytokine that plays a central role in cell-mediated immunity and regulation of antimicrobial and inflammatory responses in rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus). IFN-γ is produced primarily by activated T helper 1 (Th1) cells, cytotoxic T lymphocytes, and natural killer (NK) cells following stimulation by intracellular pathogens or immune signaling molecules such as IL-12 and IL-18. Rabbit IFN-γ binds to the interferon-γ receptor (IFNGR1/IFNGR2) expressed on many immune and non-immune cells, activating intracellular signaling through the JAK–STAT pathway, particularly STAT1, which induces expression of numerous interferon-stimulated genes involved in antigen presentation, macrophage activation, and antimicrobial defense. In rabbits, IFN-γ is critical for activation of macrophages, enhancement of MHC class I and II expression, and control of intracellular pathogens including viruses, bacteria, and parasites. Rabbit IFN-γ is widely studied in rabbit models of infectious disease and immunology; for example, IFN-γ responses are commonly measured in rabbit models of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection, where IFN-γ–producing T cells serve as an important indicator of cellular immune responses and disease progression.
