  • Anti-swine CXCL10 (alias IP-10) polyclonal antibody (catalog PB1139S) is made in rabbits, affinity-purified by swine CXCL10 affinity chromatography and supplied in PBS containing 0.09% NaN₃; it was raised against recombinant swine CXCL10 (immunogen) and the calculated molecular weight of swine CXCL10 is ~9.3 kDa. Store at 2-8°C (stable up to 12 months from date of receipt). Recommended working concentrations are Western blot 0.1-2 µg/mL and ELISA 1-5 µg/mL (optimize per assay); typical sandwich ELISA reagent pairings and suggested conditions are provided on the datasheet (capture antibody PB1139S; standard protein RP0004S-005; detection antibody PBB1140S-050; streptavidin-HRP AR0068-001; TMB substrate AR0133-002). In cross-reactivity testing (ELISA) this antibody shows strong reactivity to equine CXCL10 and no reactivity to bovine, canine, feline, human, mouse, ovine, rabbit or rat CXCL10. It is commonly used for ELISA, ELISpot, flow cytometry, neutralization, and Western blot applications (users should validate and optimize conditions for each application). The product is made in the USA, supplied for research applications only, and is not intended for medicinal, diagnostic, or therapeutic use.

Swine CXCL10 (C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 10), also known as IP-10 (Interferon gamma–induced protein 10), is a proinflammatory chemokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family, which also includes CXCL9 (MIG) and CXCL11 (I-TAC) that regulate T-cell recruitment during antiviral and inflammatory immune responses. In pigs (Sus scrofa), CXCL10 is produced by macrophages, dendritic cells, epithelial cells, endothelial cells, and fibroblasts in response to interferon-γ (IFN-γ), viral infection, or inflammatory cytokines. CXCL10 signals primarily through the chemokine receptor CXCR3, which is expressed on activated T lymphocytes, natural killer (NK) cells, and other immune cells, promoting chemotaxis and activation of these cells at sites of infection or inflammation. In swine health, CXCL10 plays an important role in immune responses to viral infections such as porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) and swine influenza virus, where interferon-driven chemokine signaling helps recruit antiviral T cells to infected lung tissues. Because pigs share significant physiological and immunological similarities with humans, they are also used as translational animal models for respiratory and infectious diseases, and CXCL10 expression is studied to better understand interferon-mediated immune responses, lung inflammation, and host–pathogen interactions relevant to both veterinary and human medicine.
