  • Cynomolgus Monkey CXCL11 (C-X-C Motif Chemokine Ligand 11) (catalog RP2231Y) is a yeast-derived cytokine supplied lyophilized without carrier protein in 10% trehalose; it contains no affinity tags, is naturally endotoxin-free, and should be reconstituted in sterile PBS with at least 0.1% carrier protein. The protein is ~7.5 kDa, 67 amino acids in length (full sequence provided), and >98% pure by SDS-PAGE, with 100% amino-acid homology to crab-eating macaque, sooty mangabey, silvery gibbon, rhesus monkey, pig-tailed macaque, drill, northern white-cheeked gibbon, black snub-nosed monkey, golden snub-nosed monkey, and siamang. It is stable for up to twelve months at -20 °C from receipt, with working aliquots (with carrier protein) stable for ~3 months; avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The product is manufactured in the USA. It is commonly used to study chemokine-mediated immune responses, particularly T-cell recruitment, inflammation, and interferon-induced signaling pathways; typical applications include chemotaxis and cell migration assays, immune cell activation studies, cytokine signaling research, ELISA and neutralization assays, flow cytometry and Western blot controls, and antibody development or validation. Kingfisher Biotech products are supplied for research applications only and are not intended for medicinal, diagnostic, or therapeutic use.

Cynomolgus Monkey (Macaca fascicularis) CXCL11 (C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 11), also known as I-TAC (Interferon-inducible T-cell alpha chemoattractant), is a proinflammatory chemokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family, which also includes CXCL9 (MIG) and CXCL10 (IP-10) that regulate T-cell recruitment during antiviral and inflammatory immune responses. In cynomolgus monkeys, CXCL11 is produced by macrophages, dendritic cells, epithelial cells, endothelial cells, and fibroblasts in response to interferon-γ (IFN-γ), viral infection, or inflammatory cytokines. CXCL11 signals primarily through the chemokine receptor CXCR3, which is expressed on activated T lymphocytes, natural killer (NK) cells, and other immune cells, promoting chemotaxis and activation of these cells at sites of infection or inflammation. Because cynomolgus monkeys share strong genetic and immunological similarity with humans, they are widely used as preclinical animal models for infectious diseases, immunology, and vaccine development, including studies of SARS-CoV-2, dengue virus, and other viral pathogens. In these models, CXCL11 is part of the interferon-driven chemokine network that recruits CXCR3⁺ T cells to infected tissues, making cynomolgus monkey CXCL11 an important marker for studying antiviral immune responses, inflammatory signaling, and evaluation of antiviral therapies and vaccines.
